Colorado football (2-5, 0-4 in the Big 12) desperately needs a win to turn their season around. After a five-game losing streak and a blowout loss to Oklahoma State, the Buffaloes' schedule is finally lightening up as a banged-up Kansas State team comes to Boulder Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats (4-3, 1-3 Big 12) have lost three of their last four games, including last week on the road against Arizona State. K-State is dealing with injuries to every quarterback on its roster, including its emergency quarterback. Colorado will likely face a less-than-100 % signal caller in Saturday's game.
Colorado's running game will be critical against Kansas State, as the Wildcats own the Big 12's best pass defense and allow just 147 yards per game. The Wildcats'
run defense is also far from elite, ranking as the third-worst in the conference.
Kansas State is only a slight favorite, with Colorado having its best chance to win a game since Week 2 against Weber State.
