The Colorado Buffaloes return to Folsom Field on Saturday, facing a major challenge in just the program's second home game of the season.
Colorado hosts the reiginng Big 12 champion No. 10 Texas Tech, hoping to snap a miserable two-game losing streak that has seen the Buffs drop two Power Four road games despite outgaining each opponent. CU's offense has been particularly concerning, scoring only 20 points combined during the two-game skid.
Saturday's matchup is a huge opportunity for the Buffaloes to change how they are perceived this season. The Red Raiders come to Boulder as a near two-touchdown favorite, but after a below-average showing against Sam Houston, Texas Tech isn't as indestructibleas it was a year ago.
Deion Sanders is set to make
a switch at quarterback, replacing former five-star Julian Lewis with Utah transfer Isaac Wilson, who flashed last week. More importantly, Wilson showed what Brennan Marion's Go-Go offense can look like when operated correctly.
Colorado needs a complete performance to take down a top-10 Texas Tech team, and so far the Buffs are still searching.

- Texas Tech 28, Colorado 17: Texas Tech looked beatable against Sam Houston last week, but Colorado hasn't shown enough offensively to inspire much confidence in an upset. Isaac Wilson should help get the Go-Go offense moving, but the Buffs need to control the clock on the ground and capitalize on Will Hammond's turnover issues. If CU's defense can create short fields, Colorado can keep it close. Ultimately, Texas Tech is still too much for this version of the Buffs, but I don't expect a blowout.
