Colorado's disappointing 2026 season reached another low point Saturday night, and Buffaloes fans weren't shy about expressing their frustration on social media, with some even calling for a coaching change.
Head coach Deion Sanders and the Buffs suffered another embarrassing loss, 57-24 to Oklahoma State
in Stillwater, extending their losing streak to five games and keeping them winless in Big 12 play.Colorado led 24-23, but that was as good as it would get for the Buffs. On the first offensive play of the second half, Isaac Wilson coughed it up, and the Cowboys scored and took a lead they never relinquished. The Cowboys scored 37 unanswered points, turning a competitive, high-scoring game into a 33-point blowout.
The collapse raised further
questions about Sanders and his staff, Colorado's lack of offensive consistency, and the team's inability to flip the script when opponents seize momentum.
For a program that entered the season hoping to rebound from a disappointing 3-9 finish in 2025, Saturday's result only added to the growing frustration of a fan base desperate for a winning team.
Here's how Colorado fans, media members and others reacted to the Buffs' latest defeat.
Blowout losses are all too common under Deion Sanders
Tonight was Colorado’s TENTH loss by 3+ possessions in the Coach Prime era.
— Jake Schwanitz (@JakeDNVR) October 25, 2026
Crazy thing, tonight’s 33 point loss to Oklahoma State is only their FIFTH worse loss of the era.
Utah ‘25 - loss by 45
Wazzu ‘23 - 42
Arizona ‘25 - 35
Northwestern ‘26 - 34
Oklahoma State ‘26 - 33
Buff Nation, do others feel this way?
I don’t care. Someone has to be fired TONIGHT. @flovom

Can't win a game with drives like that
Second half drives for #CUBuffs: Fumble, punt, punt, interception, punt, interception.

Big 12 standings are looking bleak
After Kansas’ win and Colorado’s loss, the Buffs are officially dead last in the Big 12

The only team without a conference win 🫠 pic.twitter.com/47856XGbxD
Except it to be turned into 37 unanswered
27 unanswered points…. Hard to watch. Implosion. https://t.co/hZxA9wZKKc

A third quarter to forget
Yeah that'll lose you ball games... pic.twitter.com/7p07T4q37s

The first half was so positive

What happened to the running back room
All that RB depth we've heard about so much, but apparently the Buffs have just one guy they trust to run the ball.
— Brian Howell (@BrianHowell33) October 25, 2026
Micah Welch is out, but Damian Henderson II and Richard Young are just complete non-factors. #cubuffs
This coaching decision did not make any sense
Issac Wilson was having a career game, so abandoning the run and telling him to win this game himself was definitely the best move 🙄🙄🙄🙄

We have yet to see a complete game
This team is just completely incapable of playing a good, full 60 minutes.
— Jake Schwanitz (@JakeDNVR) October 25, 2026
Tough, tough look for the program
Beyond embarassed
— Jack Crawford (@Jcraw708) October 25, 2026
Yep, we are going down the wrong path
Karl Dorrell went 3-13 in his last 16 P4 games.
— Silver Buff (@silver_buff) October 25, 2026
Prime is currently 2-15 in his last 17.
It is a very disappointing development
Deion Sanders isn’t a P4 Head Coach, the evidence is overwhelming, and it’s incredibly disappointing.

Argue with your grandma.
Some questionable coaching decisions
I simply can’t blame Isaac. You CANT pass the football like 25 straight times and expect it to go well.

The Go-Go offense has been a struggle
The GoGo offensive experience has been a failure in Colorado so far not many options to it for the Buffs

Man….. turnovers & penalties……

Colorado can never have a 'good' loss, can they?
Nobody has the wheels come off like the Colorado Buffaloes

That is one way to cope
Thinking about picking up smoking cigarettes as it could mean experiencing less CU football seasons.

It always feels like the dam breaks around then
As a Buffs fan, there's always that time of night you tell your wife,
— Guiseppi Marzelli (@G_Marzelli) October 25, 2026
“Yeah, you can watch whatever you want.”
It’s usually around mid 3rd quarter.
A very rational way to view the current situation
I'm not gonna pile on. It's clear that this is not going to turn around and work with HCDS. It's a shame it couldn't turn into more than a single reality fun season. Definitely going to keep cheering for these players, tho. #GoBuffs
