The Week 6 Big 12 slate was small, with five teams on a bye and one non-Big 12 matchup. The shakeups in our updated power rankings were limited, as only five conference games were decided,
At the top of the conference, Colorado's Week 7 opponent, Utah, takes over the No. 1 spot after an impressive 41-24 win over Kansas, moving ahead of in-state rival BYU. The Cougars remain undefeated after a 24-10 win over Iowa State, but their sloppy performance wasn't quite enough to hold on to the top spot.
Houston continues to impress, strengthening its hold on third place with a convincing road win over a solid Kansas State team. Oklahoma State and Arizona also picked up key wins.
