The Colorado Buffaloes (2-1, 0-0 Big 12) travel to Waco to take on the Baylor Bears (2-1, 0-0 Big 12) in Colorado's first Big 12 game of the season. Colorado and Baylor have not met since Colorado's overtime win over Baylor in 2024.
Colorado is coming off a disastrous 41-7 loss at Northwestern, while Baylor took care of business against Louisiana Tech without star quarterback DJ Lagway. Baylor boasts one of the conference's better defenses, ranking in the top three in sacks (10) and interceptions (4). They are also one of the best units at racking up tackles for loss. Needless to say, Colorado's offense must stay ahead of the chains and take care of the football to have success against Baylor.
A bounceback performance is a must for a CU team that
was embarrassed on the road and hurt themselves with turnovers and penalties. The Colorado-Baylor game is expected to be fairly high-scoring, but Baylor at home is the favorite.
