Week 3 featured the season's best Big 12 matchup so far, as Texas Tech took on Houston. Both quarterbacks had good performances, with Houston's Conner Weigman throwing for 282 passing yards and three touchdowns, while Will Hammond with Texas Tech had nearly 10 yards per attempt and a touchdown.

TCU's Jaden Craig also had a good day in the Horned Frogs' game against Arkansas State with 337 passing yards and three touchdowns, making him the passing yards leader in the Big 12. Oklahoma State's Drew Mestemaker also had another impressive game with five touchdowns in the Cowboys' 59-0 shutout versus Murray State.

One quarterback who took a step back was ASU's Cutter Boley. He came into the week as the Big 12's leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns.

While he led the Sun Devils to a win, Boley only had 95 passing yards and a touchdown.
