While No. 14 Iowa was idle this weekend with their Week 7 bye, the Hawkeyes extended an offer to 2027 three-star cornerback Daveon Belhomme.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder from Clearwater Central Catholic in Clearwater, Fla., is ranked as the No. 100 cornerback in the 2027 recruiting class and as the No. 111 recruit in the Sunshine State, according to 247Sports. Rivals ranks Belhomme as the No. 98 cornerback and as the No. 80 prospect in Florida, while ESPN regards him as their 75th-best corner and No. 87 Floridian.
In eight games as a senior, Belhomme has posted 44 tackles (26 solo, 18 assisted), eight pass breakups, four interceptions, two tackles for loss, and one forced fumble, per MaxPreps. He also plays receiver and has caught 18 passes for 246
yards and one touchdown. Belhomme also scored on a kickoff return this fall.

Beyond Iowa, Belhomme has drawn offers from a range of programs across the country, including Wake Forest, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Florida State, Auburn, Ole Miss, Iowa State, and even Big Ten rival Wisconsin.
Belhomme is scheduled for an official visit to Notre Dame on Nov. 14 before an official to Auburn on Nov. 21. The Hawkeyes will hope to make an impression upon Belhomme and maybe get him on campus before the season ends.
