During an unofficial visit to Iowa City this past weekend, Iowa women's basketball offered 2029 guard Emily Tanny, daughter of former Hawkeye and 2026 Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame inductee Amy Herrig Tanny.
The 6-foot-1 guard from Dubuque, Iowa, currently attends Wahlert Catholic. Tanny also starred for the All Iowa Attack Nike EYBL 15U squad in the summertime, where she played alongside fellow 2029 Hawkeyes prospect, Liv Johnson.
This past season at Wahlert Catholic, Tanny averaged 20.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 3.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per game on 44.3% shooting and 36.6% from 3-point range across 25 games started and played.
Tanny also holds offers from Marquette, South Dakota and Montana State.
Paired with the strong familial connection
to the Hawkeyes program, Jan Jensen and Co. hope the program's bright future and proven developmental success will vault Iowa to the top of Tanny's considerations moving forward.
