This will be the 120th all-time meeting between these two foes. Minnesota leads the series with a 63-54-2 record. However, the Hawkeyes have dominated the Gophers recently, winning 10 of the last 11 games in the series. That includes last season's 41-3 romp at Kinnick Stadium.
The last game between these two in Minneapolis was in 2024.
Iowa picked up a 31-14 win that night. Kaleb Johnson rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns that evening. Iowa will look for similar success on the ground this weekend, with Kamari Moulton coming off a career-high 208-yard rushing performance at Washington.
