The Iowa Hawkeyes climbed one spot in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll.
Iowa is now ranked No. 21 in the US LBM Coaches Poll headed into Week 2. The Hawkeyes dismantled Northern Illinois in its season opener, 40-0. Hank Brown threw a touchdown pass, Kamari Moulton ran in a pair of touchdowns and Evan James had a punt return touchdown.
Meanwhile, Phil Parker's defense stymied NIU, limiting the Huskies to just 120 yards of total offense.
The big movers in this week's US LBM Coaches Poll included Virginia climbing seven spots to enter the poll at No. 25, LSU rising five spots to No. 8 nationally and SMU jumping three spots to No. 17.
After its controversial win over Western Michigan, Michigan dropped eight spots to No. 24. Oregon also fell four spots to No. 6
after being tested by Boise State in a 34-27 Ducks win.
