For the 73rd time, Iowa and Iowa State will meet on the gridiron on Saturday. Iowa owns a 46-25 advantage in the all-time series, but the Hawkeyes are looking to put a stop to a two-game Iowa State winning streak in the rivalry.
The 21st-ranked Hawkeyes opened their 2026 season with a 40-0 shutout victory over Northern Illinois. It was the 10th shutout victory Iowa has recorded since 2018, matching Penn State for the most in all of the Football Bowl Subdivision during that timeframe.
Meanwhile, Iowa State began the Jimmy Rogers era with a 38-10 win over Southeast Missouri State.
