The Iowa football program got some great news. Fourth-year offensive lineman Kade Pieper has been named to the Associated Press Midseason All-America First Team.
The Norfolk, Neb., native has started all six games at right guard for the Hawkeyes this season. He's been a huge part of an offensive line that was named to the Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll earlier this week. Iowa has rushed for over 200 yards in three of its six games this season. They've also only given up five sacks, a huge testament to the play of the line up front.
Pieper was also named a preseason All-American by the Associated Press.

Pieper is no stranger to All-American honors. The 6-foot-3
offensive lineman was also named a preseason first-team All-American by Athlon Sports, Phil Steele, Walter Camp, and The Sporting News. Last season, Pro Football Focus named him a first-team All-American following a breakout campaign.
With Iowa losing a trio of offensive linemen to the NFL this offseason, Pieper has been asked to take on a bigger role in 2026. Things started slowly, but the line is gelling together as the weeks go on. The Hawkeyes will lean on that group to lead the way as the calendar flips to the back half of the schedule.
Pieper and the rest of Iowa's offense return to the gridiron next Saturday, Oct. 24 for a road matchup at Minnesota. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CST on FS1.
