Iowa (7-2, 4-2 Big Ten) grabbed its third road win of the season with a wire-to-wire 24-10 victory at Northwestern (6-3, 3-3 Big Ten) at the new Ryan Field in Evanston, Ill., on Saturday night.
The Hawkeyes got contributions from all facets of the team against the Wildcats, with Hank Brown opening the scoring with a 21-yard touchdown run on Iowa's opening drive.
Brown would later throw a beautiful 24-yard touchdown pass to Tony Diaz in the second quarter. After Northwestern finally got on the scoreboard with a 45-yard field goal in the third quarter, Iowa's Braeden Jackson returned the ensuing kickoff for a 96-yard touchdown, his second kickoff-return touchdown of the year.
Iowa's defense played another exceptional game by bending but not breaking
against Northwestern, including holding the Wildcats to 1 for 4 on fourth-down attempts throughout the night.
