Iowa’s quarterbacks have long been a talking point among the fanbase. It was so again over the weekend, but in a positive way this time.
Hank Brown was excellent in the Hawkeyes’ 30-0 win over Wisconsin. He completed 20 of his 24 pass attempts for 222 yards and two touchdowns. That performance earned him a very special honor: Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week.
This season, Brown has completed 64.5% of his passes for 1,190 yards and eight touchdowns. After struggling in relief of Jeremy Hecklinski against Minnesota, he was outstanding on Saturday. The fourth-year looked cool and calm in the pocket, delivering dimes to his playmakers all game long. He figures to be Iowa’s starter for the rest of the 2026 season.

Brown is Iowa's first Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award winner since Kaleb Johnson was recognized on Nov. 4, 2024.
Brown and the 23rd-ranked Hawkeyes will face another big test on Saturday night against No. 23 Northwestern. The game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT on Fox.
