Per CBS and 247Sports' Matt Zenitz and David Eickholt, Iowa quarterback Hank Brown will be a game-time decision on Friday night at Washington (3-2, 0-2 Big Ten).
No. 18 Iowa (4-1, 1-1 Big Ten) has been monitoring Brown's status throughout this week after he took a big hit late in the third quarter against Ohio State. Brown told reporters earlier this week that he suffered an AC joint sprain.
Zenitz and Eickholt report that it seems more likely than not that backup quarterback Jeremy Hecklinski ends up getting the start at Washington, but a final call isn't expected until Friday.

Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz said on Hawk Talk on Wednesday night that Brown hasn't done much in practice this week.
"Hank hasn't done a lot. It's questionable. I think that's one of the categories that you can put players in. Bottom line is, Heck has practiced so far, so it's a little bit of a tough thing. I think (Hank) will be cleared medically to play, but the issue is, is it a smart thing to do, and is it the best thing to do for him and for our team?
"We're the adults in the room, so we have to be thinking about making sure that we're not putting him at risk and what's best for everybody. Right now, our mindset is that Heck's got it, and Jimmy Sullivan is on deck. If Hank can get to that point by Friday night, then great, but we can't count on that," Ferentz said Wednesday.
Hecklinski led a touchdown drive and completed all five of his passes for 67 yards against the Buckeyes last Saturday.
On the season, Hecklinski is 18 of 32 (56.3%) through the air for 208 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Meanwhile, Brown was 12 of 27 passing against Ohio State for 132 yards with one interception. Brown has started all five games thus far, completing 62.9% of his passes for 832 yards and five touchdowns against one interception. He has a rushing score as well.
Kickoff between Iowa and Washington is set for 8 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on Fox or FS1.
