The Iowa football program was one of the biggest winners in the newest USA TODAY Sports 1-138 Re-Rank.
The Hawkeyes completely dominated Washington on Friday night, heading home with a 41-24 victory. It was an elite performance for Iowa's running game, led by a career night from Kamari Moulton. The win over the Huskies catapulted Iowa in the rankings.
A new edition of the USA TODAY Sports 1-138 Re-Rank was released on Monday after Week 6 of the college football season. Iowa jumped eight spots from last week, landing at No. 14 in this week's ranking.
After losing eight spots following the loss to Ohio State, it appears the Hawkeyes got that goodwill back with this win. Kirk Ferentz's team has a lot to feel good about heading into the bye week. Everything
is in front of them as the back half of the schedule awaits.
Georgia, Notre Dame, Miami, Ohio State, and Indiana make up the top five in this week's Re-Rank.
The Big Ten also sees UCLA at No. 9, USC at No. 15, and Nebraska at No. 25.
