It was a big recruiting weekend for Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa football program.
Ferentz welcomed plenty of elite talent to Kinnick Stadium, hoping to make a good impression and to start building future classes. Iowa got off to a great start landing a commitment just minutes before the Cy-Hawk game kicked off.
Class of 2028 three-star quarterback Chase Grove was in Iowa City and at the game for a visit. He didn't just visit the program, though. He made the decision to become a Hawkeye as well.

Grove is a 6-foot-2 quarterback from Indianapolis and North Central High School. The three-star signal caller also had offers
from Iowa State, Kansas State, Minnesota, and North Carolina. He ultimately decided to become a Hawkeye after getting on campus for a visit.
Across four games for North Central this season, Grove is completing 65.4% of his passes for 1,004 yards. He's tossed 10 touchdowns against just three interceptions. He's seen as a fast-riser in the 2028 class, which makes Iowa landing his commitment now even more important.
The Hawkeyes are hoping to land quite a few commits from this recent Cy-Hawk visit weekend. Landing Grove is a fantastic start to that.
