After launching her signature Nike Caitlin 1 shoes on Oct. 1, Nike called Caitlin Clark's global launch one of its largest in company history. Nike launched the Caitlin 1s with a three-day Iowa City pop-up shop, promotions on ESPN's "College GameDay," and an online retail release this past weekend.
According to an earnings call on Oct. 1, Nike CEO Elliott Hill said Clark's signature shoe is "the largest women's signature shoe launch in Nike history." He also said the company is placing the shoe in about 5,000 stores, twice the average for a Nike Basketball signature shoe.

The massive success of the Caitlin 1 shoe just days after its release is no surprise, given Clark's global impact on basketball and women's sports as a whole is on par with some of the greatest athletes in the world, past and present.
The astronomical numbers from Clark's shoe launch will only grow as the three-time WNBA All-Star is set to release five additional colorways of the Caitlin 1 over the next handful of months.
