Iowa now sits at 7-2 (4-2 Big Ten) on the season after the win over Northwestern. Their College Football Playoff dreams are still alive, as long as they don't drop another regular-season game. Purdue will bring a 3-6 (2-4 Big Ten) record with them to Iowa City. They're coming off a tight 34-29 home loss to Maryland and are losers of three straight games. Purdue did dominate
a Minnesota team that beat Iowa.
This will be the first matchup between these two teams since Oct. 7, 2023. Iowa picked up a 20-14 victory that day at Kinnick.
The Boilermakers have won four of the previous seven meetings in the series. Kirk Ferentz's team will look to avoid a misstep next weekend in primetime. And the Iowa fanbase will get to enjoy another game under the bright lights of Kinnick Stadium.
