For the first time this season, the Iowa football program has fallen out of the AP Top 25.
The Hawkeyes threw the game away in a 13-10 road loss to Minnesota. They had four turnovers, mind-numbing penalties, and so many missed opportunities. It was a very strange performance, and it leaves Kirk Ferentz with a lot more questions than answers.
As a result, Iowa fell out of the Oct. 25 AP Top 25 poll. They were the top team receiving votes, with 76. But they're no longer an AP-ranked team.
Wisconsin replaced the Hawkeyes in the top 25, coming off a massive home win over USC. The Badgers will travel to Kinnick Stadium this weekend for another big rivalry game. The top ten remains relatively unchanged, outside of a big drop from BYU.
In the Big Ten,
Ohio State leads the way, rising to the No. 2 spot. Four other conference teams were ranked this week. USC and Minnesota joined Iowa in receiving votes.
