Kirk Ferentz and No. 14 Iowa (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten) are busy preparing for a huge matchup against No. 6 Ohio State this Saturday. In the middle of that process, the Hawkeyes found out some more details about the game that follows: a road matchup against the Washington Huskies on Friday, Oct. 9.
Iowa's game at Washington will kick off at 8 p.m. CT and it will be broadcast on Fox or FS1.

The last time these new conference foes met was on Oct. 12, 2024, at Kinnick Stadium. The Hawkeyes walked away with a dominant 40-16 win that day, led by Kaleb Johnson's 166 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Current Iowa wide receiver Dayton Howard had a 33-yard touchdown reception in that game
as well.
Overall, these two teams have played each other seven times, with Iowa owning a 4-3 lead in the all-time series. Washington's last win over Iowa came in the 1991 Rose Bowl, a 46-34 victory.
