After Reece Vander Zee caught a last-second, game-winning touchdown pass to stun Michigan in front of 111,126 fans at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Iowa football climbed in the AP Top 25 poll heading into Week 5.
Vander Zee's 16-yard touchdown grab capped an unforgettable 91-yard drive in the game's final two minutes and secured a 20-19 win in the Big House for the Hawkeyes.
As a result of the historic Hawkeyes victory, Iowa rose three spots to No. 14 in the Sept. 27 AP Top 25 poll.
Week 4 was chaotic nationwide, with several programs making significant jumps and falls, including UCLA entering the rankings and Penn State, Michigan, Louisville, and Texas A&M dropping out of the Top 25 entirely.
Overall, six Big Ten teams are ranked,
led by Ohio State at No. 5 nationally. Additionally, Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Northwestern are all receiving votes.
