After traveling to Iowa City this weekend, coveted 2027 5-star Iowa basketball recruit Cayden Daughtry shared his official visit photos.
According to 247Sports, the 6-foot guard from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is the No. 3 prospect in the entire 2027 class, the second-ranked point guard and the No. 3 player from the Sunshine State.
This weekend was Daughtry's third official visit. Daughtry visited Florida State on Aug. 30 and Tennessee on Sept. 8. In addition, the highly-touted point guard has upcoming official visits with Florida (Sept. 25), Miami (Oct. 16), and Arkansas (Oct. 30) on his schedule.
Iowa has had Daughtry on its recruiting radar for some time. The Hawkeyes offered Daughtry on July 12, 2025.
Daughtry really turned heads nationally this
past summer during Nike EYBL's Peach Jam. In eight Peach Jam games, Daughtry averaged an astounding 32.3 points, 6.1 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game. Daughtry shot 58.6% from the field and 48.8% from beyond the arc in those games.
While the battle for Daughtry's commitment is far from over for Ben McCollum and the Hawkeyes, he surely got to experience the passion and support of the fan base this weekend during Iowa football's 16-13 victory over Iowa State.
Cayden Daughtry is arguably having the greatest guard season we’ve EVER seen in EYBL history.

His 36.3 PPG (61% FG) ranks 1st all-time in Peach Jam scoring! All-world scoring feel + efficiency (44% 3P + 54 FTR). Absurd dTOV impact (~4.6 stks/g) + playmaking instinct (2.5 A/TO). https://t.co/hEZgmXRvD5 pic.twitter.com/MnthQvsqbA
