After recording her 14th double-double on the season and 33rd of her career in Friday night's win over the Toronto Tempo, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever (27-14) return home to host former Hawkeye Lucy Olsen and the Washington Mystics (25-16) tonight at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
In the 103-85 win over Toronto, Clark poured in 28 points on 7 for 15 shooting, 2 for 8 from 3-point range, and 12 for 12 at the free-throw line, while adding 14 assists and six rebounds in 34 minutes. Combined with teammate Kelsey Mitchell's 33 points, the dynamic backcourt duo supplied Indiana with 61 of their 103 points against the Tempo.
With three games remaining in the regular season and tied with the Atlanta Dream for the No. 4 seed, tonight's matchup is crucial
towards the Fever's pursuit of home-court advantage in their WNBA playoffs best-of-three first-round series. Because the Dream hold the tiebreaker against the Fever, Indiana is currently the No. 5 seed in the league standings.
