Penn State will begin its 2026 season in a little over a week, and fans can look forward to seeing a collection of recruits and commits alongside their favorite players. The school uses its home games as an opportunity to pitch the team to high-school athletes, and they already have a long list of players to bring in this year.
The Nittany Lions open up against Marshall on Sept. 5, and 11 recruits in total will be at Beaver Stadium soaking in the atmosphere. Among those players are six commits, with the most notable being cornerback Deonte Flemings Jr., quarterback James Armstrong, and offensive lineman David Tarawallie.
Some of the undecided recruits among the group are quarterback Connor Kulka and Pennsylvania native Victor Ezeukwu.
Penn State
will use the season opener as a way to reinforce its relationship with its current commits and entice players to join who are on the fence. Some of those players will be back for the White Out game against USC on Oct. 10, so they should be able to see the electricity of the fan base first hand. Hopefully these games serve as mass commitment events that equip the team with stacked recruiting classes going forward.
