For the Penn State Nittany Lions, it's always a good thing when they impress early. That's because recruits always pay attention to details. Needless to say, this past week was a big one for the blue and white as they welcomed several recruits from the 2028 class.
One in particular absolutely loved his experience and was thrilled by the work ethic displayed on the field. Josiah Eney, a 300-pound O-line recruit from Maryland, could end up being pivotal to Penn State's class of 2028 if he commits. The fact that the Nittany Lions already made a good impression on him spells out some potentially positive news in the future.
"It was great there. Penn State is super high on my list after today," Eney said of his visit over the weekend, according to On3

For Penn State, it's a positive sign of the culture they are building that recruits can start to see firsthand. Before, no one really knew what the program was going to look like under Matt Campbell and as a result, several recruits were potentially put off by the uncertainty surrounding the team. However, over the first three weeks of the season, Penn State fans will be glad to know that Campbell is already working towards building a better future for the program.
Eney still has a long time to make his decision, and due to his unique status, he already has a lot of offers. Still, by seeing what the program is capable of, Eney is at least assured that the Nittany Lions could be considered when he's finally ready to decide.
