Penn State is trending upward in the national polls this week. Following another decisive non-conference victory, and with a little help from around the country, Penn State moved up in this week's AP Top 25.
Penn State moved up one spot in this week's media poll, moving from No. 14 up to No. 13. The Nittany Lions moved up more as a result of No. 23 Texas A&M falling 14 spots following its shocking upset loss at home to Kentucky.
Texas is the top-ranked team in this week's AP Top 25 for a second week in a row. The Longhorns received 58 first-place votes to lock down the top spot in this week's media poll. They are followed by No. 2 Georgia, which received 3 first-place votes.
No. 5 Indiana is the highest-ranked Big Ten team in this week's poll.
The Hoosiers picked up four first-place votes. Joining Indiana and Penn State in the AP Top 25 this week are No. 7 Ohio State, No. 12 USC, No. 17 Iowa, No. 18 Michigan, and No. 20 Oregon. Washington was the first team out and led the others in the receiving votes category. Other Big Ten teams picking up votes this week include UCLA and Nebraska.
Penn State moved up one spot to No. 14 in this week's US LBM Coaches Poll. The Nittany Lions also moved up to No. 13 in this week's Super 16 Poll from the FWAA.
Penn State is home again in Week 4 for the Big Ten opener against Wisconsin. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. ET on Peacock.
