Where would the Nittany Lionsbe if they had been able to retain Beau Pribula? While we will never know the true answer to that question, his recent performances with both Missouri and nowVirginiasuggest they could have been a very fun team. In fact, his first ever game for the Cavaliers may have been the most efficient and incredible performance of Week 0 in college football.
The York, Pa. native showcased his elite dual-threat abilities, going 9 for 11 with 155 yards passing with two passing touchdowns. Even more impressive however, was the fact that he also rushed 15 times for a stellar 110 yards, often leading the way for a highly physical run game. The fact that Pribula looked so effective as a rusher should make Penn State fans feel somewhat
frustrated that they weren't able to keep Pribula in Happy Valley.
Still, it's not like Pribula hasn't already impressed with his elite skillset. Nittany Lions fans did get a glimpse of his capabilities in his two seasons there, where he three for 924 yards, nine touchdowns and only one interception. On the ground, he was even more impressive, where he rushed for 571 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging 6.1 yards per carry. While he was never the starter, he still led the Big Ten in touchdowns as a freshman in 2023.
Luckily, he got the chance to start for the Missouri Tigers, where he had 297 yards and 6 touchdowns on the ground and 1,941 yards and 11 touchdowns through the air. While his season was marred by a Week 10 injury against Vanderbilt, he still shoed why he was such an intriguing prospect out of high school. And to think Penn State had him amongst their ranks at one point.
