With the first month of the college football season coming to a close, the Big Ten rushing title is still up for grabs, but a possible contender continues to impress on the West Coast.
UCLA running back Wayne Knight continues to lead the Big Ten in rushing yardage and touchdowns after another 100-yard performance in UCLA's road win at Maryland. Knight's 9 touchdowns is currently the second-most in the nation behind only Florida running back Jaden Baugh (11 touchdowns). He is tied for second with West Virginia's Michael Hawkins Jr.
A big riser in the Big Ten rushing leaderboard this week is Indiana's backup running back, Lee Beebe Jr. Beebe Jr. stepped in for an injured Turbo Richard against Northwestern and rushed for 203 yards in the win. As
a result, he became Indiana's new leading rusher and soared up to fourth in the Big Ten in rushing yardage. It pays to have quality depth in Bloomington.

Who is Penn State's leading rusher after Week 4?
Following Week 4, Penn State has a new leading rusher on the team. James Peoples, who transferred from Ohio State, has taken over as the team's leading rusher following his performance against Wisconsin. Peoples has rushed for 199 yards and 2 touchdowns, and he is averaging 5.38 yards per carry. Peoples has passed Carson Hansen, a transfer from Iowa State, and seems to be worthy of more rushing opportunities moving forward. Hansen has rushed for 180 yards and 1 touchdown.
Peoples ranks 20th in the Big Ten in rushing yardage as Penn State continues to try to fix its underperforming running game.
