Penn State will once again be getting a prime television slot for its upcoming game at Michigan, despite losing each of its last three games. It was announced on Sunday morning that Penn State's road game at Michigan in Week 7 will air on CBS, which was somewhat expected.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m., which was previously announced, but the TV designation was determined for the matchup and a couple of others following the results of Week 6 in the Big Ten. Although Penn State and Michigan have both underperformed this season, the draw of two of the Big Ten's biggest brands with new head coaches is tough for a network to pass up.
Penn State is coming off a tough loss at home to USC in Week 6, dropping to 0-3 in Big Ten play as the season has shifted
in the wrong direction once conference play began. Michigan was off this week but has faced its own offensive struggles since the start of the season. Michigan has scored more than 20 points just once this season, and the conversation surrounding the Wolverines has centered on the status of quarterback Bryce Underwood amid the offensive woes.
This matchup will feature two historically proud programs battling for something positive to build on for the second half of the season. Something will have to give.
