USC quarterback Jayden Maiava, still with the built-in advantage of having an extra third game under his belt compared to the rest of the conference's passers, stays on top of the Big Ten passing leaderboard after Week 2. Maiva is leading the Big Ten in passing yards and touchdowns after USC wrapped up its non-conference portion of the schedule. Things will supposedly get a little tougher, but Maiva and USC will face Rutgers in their first Big Ten contest of the season.
Penn State quarterback Rocco Becht overcame a bit of a sluggish start, as did the rest of the Penn State offense, before putting together a respectable day in the final box score against Temple. Becht, who transferred from Iowa State, moved up a spot in this week's Big Ten top
10 passing yardage leaders.
