Penn State is visiting the City of Brotherly Love for a Week 2 matchup against an in-state opponent on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions take on the Temple Owls in the first game played in Philadelphia by Penn State since the 2016 season. It is also the first game between the two programs since 2017.
Penn State is coming off a 45-0 victory in the seaosn opener against Marshall. Rocco Becht passed for three touchdowns in his first game as Penn State's quarterback. Wide receiver Koby Howard led the day with 161 receiving yards and a touchdown, already eclipsing his 2025 season total.
Temple is also coming off a win at home last week with a 38-14 victory over Rhode Island. Keveun Mason rushed for 158 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Owls' victory at Lincoln
Financial Field. Penn State limited Marshall to 44 net rushing yards a week ago; the game will be a bit of a tougher challenge against a Penn State defense anchored by Tony Rojas and Caleb Bacon.
