As the 2027 recruiting class works its way toward finalization, the Class of 2028 is rounding its way into form. Penn State already has three commits for the latter class and will be using this season as a persuasion tactic, as high-school prospects will be at numerous games throughout the season.
While the school focuses on getting more commitments, the 2029 recruiting class is on deck and ascending quickly. They won’t receive star rankings for about another year, but that hasn’t stopped recruiting services from calculating how they stack up against each other.
Rivals recently released its top-100 prospects list and the Nittany Lions have their fingerprints all over it. According to Ryan Snyder of On3 Sports, the team has already extended offers
to 28 of those players.
But three years is a long time, and this list of prospects will continue to transform over that period. Penn State could end up being attached to significantly more players in these rankings, or a lot of the players they’ve offered could drop off. The Class of 2029 isn’t even close to being fully formed, but the Nittany Lions are already loading up to land an elite crop of talent.
