Angel Reese made headlines again on Saturday. The former LSU women's basketball star eclipsed 500 rebounds in 2026 during the Atlanta Dream's game against the Chicago Sky. She is the first player in WNBA history to surpass the 500 total rebounds mark in a single season.
Against the Sky, her former team, Reese called another double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. She also added four assists, three blocks and two steals. The forward shot 69% from the field and knocked down one of her two three-point attempts.
Reese is having a career season in her first with the Dream. She is averaging a career-best 16.6 points per game and a WNBA-best 12.3 rebounds per game. Her 1.8 steals per contest rank third in the league. Her two teammates, Rhyne Howard
and Jordin Canada, average the most and second-most steals, respectively.

The Dream ranks fourth in the league and first in the Eastern Conference with two games remaining on its regular season schedule. Reese hopes to help the team make it past the first round of the playoffs for the first time since 2018.
