LSU football took care of business with a Week 5 victory against McNeese inside Tiger Stadium. Head coach Lane Kiffin and his team earned a spot in the latest AP poll, released Sunday. The Tigers climbed one spot to No. 10.
The top five remained the same from last week. Texas and Georgia are No. 1 and 2, respectively. Alabama climbed one spot to No. 6, while Ole Miss stayed put at No. 9. LSU rounds out the list of top SEC teams in the AP poll.
The Bulldogs and the Crimson Tide face off in a top-six matchup in Week 6, while the Tigers travel to Kentucky, the top vote-getter outside the AP top 25. The Wildcats earned a ranked win over Texas A&M, then came from behind to beat South Carolina in overtime.

benefitted from outstanding performances by underclassmen in the 63-14 win against McNeese. Sophomore running back Harlem Berry rushed for a career-high 125 yards. True freshman Deuce Geralds recorded his fifth sack of the year. True freshman Corey Barber led the Tigers with 83 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
