LSU men's basketball picked up a major win on the high school recruiting trail. Head coach Will Wade got a commitment from King Gibson, according to Rivals' Joe Tipton on Sunday. The four-star prospect is the second 2027 prospect to choose the Tigers.
Gibson selected LSU out of a top four that included Arkansas, Louisville and Providence. The six-foot-four combo guard plays high school basketball at SPIRE Academy in Ohio but hails from Greensboro, NC.
Rivals' Industry Rankings lists Gibson as the No. 1 combo guard in the 2027 cycle. The outlet ranks him No. 2 out of North Carolina and the No. 15 overall player in the class. He visited LSU at the end of September.
