LSU football broke into the conference win column in Week 4 with a 35-6 win over Texas A&M. The ranked victory bolsters the Tigers' resume for the College Football Playoffs, but they have plenty of top-25 tests ahead.
According to FanDuel, LSU has +1600 odds to win the national championship. The line is seventh-best in the country and third-best among SEC teams. Behind Ohio State, which has the best odds at +470, Texas and Georgia are tied for second-best at +550.
Bettors see the Tigers as one of the SEC's best teams, despite LSU's recent string of injuries to significant players. LSU dominated the Aggies and recovered mentally after a grueling Week 3 loss to Ole Miss. As for the Rebels, they're +2200 to win it all, tied with Alabama at No. 10.
Florida is +1800, just behind LSU.
Head coach Lane Kiffin and his team face McNeese on Saturday before hitting the road to play Kentucky, which beat Texas A&M in College Station. LSU hopes to get quarterback Sam Leavitt back to full strength, but it remains down tight end Trey'Dez Green and linebacker Whit Weeks indefinitely.
