It was a relatively calm week in the SEC football world. Six teams enjoyed a bye in Week 9, and there wasn't much drama on the field. Georgia handled Florida in blowout fashion, Ole Miss pulled away from Auburn in the second half, and Texas notched a comfortable win over Mississippi State.
South Carolina officially put the dagger in Oklahoma's season, raising questions about the future of OU Head Coach Brent Venables. Missouri did what one would expect vs. a downtrodden Arkansas team, winning 34-10.
After Week 9, Georgia and Kentucky are tied at the top of the SEC standings, each at 5-1 in conference play and 7-1 overall. Alabama and Ole Miss are tied at No. 3 in the SEC standings, each owning a 4-2 conference record. Texas, LSU, Missouri, and Tennessee
only have two losses as well, but that group only has three conference wins.
Vanderbilt remains at the bottom of the standings, still the only team in the SEC without an SEC win.
