LSU football fell to No. 11 in the US LBM Coaches Poll after losing to Ole Miss on Saturday.
It was LSU's first loss of the year as the Tigers are now 2-1 overall and 0-1 in SEC play. LSU vs. Ole Miss was college football's top storyline in Week 3. It marked Lane Kiffin's return to Oxford after Kiffin left the Rebels for the Tigers in 2025.
LSU faced a hostile crowd, which seemed to rattle them early. The offense got off to a slow start. Meanwhile, Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss led the Rebels to a 17-0 start. LSU fought back and tied it at 24, but Chambliss had one more trick. Chambliss led a go-ahead touchdown drive that put Ole Miss up 32-24. LSU marched down the field to set up fourth-and-goal, but Ole Miss got the stop and ended the game.
Ole Miss climbed the rankings and now sits No. 6. LSU's Week 4 opponent, Texas A&M, fell all the way to No. 20 after losing to Kentucky.
