Angel Reese is a day away from playing in the WNBA Finals for the Atlanta Dream. The former LSU women's basketball star led the league in rebounds and won Defensive Player of the Year before her first postseason appearance.
Reese averaged 18 points and 8.4 rebounds per game through the Dream's five postseason games. FanDuel sets her point total at 14.5 for Saturday's series opener in San Francisco, up a point from 13.5. The under now gets the edge at -125, with the over at -104.
The Golden State Valkyries await Reese and the Dream in the finals as both teams search for their first title. The Valkyries won all three regular-season meetings but face a different version of the Dream, who went 18-5 heading into the playoffs.
The Dream benefited from
Reese turning defense into offense through the first-round and semifinal games. She averaged 2.2 blocks, two assists, and 1.6 steals per game.
Golden State is favored to win the game with the spread at 2.5 points. The total for the game is 154.5. Reese and the Dream are underdogs, but they've proven they can thrive in that role.
