The first injury report for Mississippi State at LSU football dropped Wednesday night. It listed a handful of significant names. Most notably, Mississippi State QB Kamario Taylor is questionable.
Taylor left Mississippi State's Week 5 contest vs. Alabama (MSU was on bye in Week 6) with a lower-body injury. Earlier this week, ESPN's Pete Thamel reported Taylor's status was in flux. The betting spread has moved in LSU's favor since the opening line, indicating bettors think Taylor may not play.
Taylor, one of the country's best quarterbacks, would be a significant loss for Mississippi State. The offense runs through Taylor, and the dynamic QB was generating Heisman buzz earlier this year.
Mississippi State RB Fluff Bothwell is also questionable.
Bothwell is averaging over five yards per carry. The veteran back is a go-to option for Jeff Lebby's offense.

Mississippi State linebacker Jalen Smith was listed as out, meaning the Bulldogs will be down a starter on defense.
Mississippi State won't get much sympathy from an LSU team also dealing with the injury bug. LSU stars Trey'Dez Green and Whit Weeks remained sidelined and aren't expected back until November. Hybrid defensive back Da'Shawn Spears tore his ACL vs. Ole Miss and remains out for the year.
LSU WR Phillip Wright and LB Charles Ross are also out for the year. Neither was a starter, but both saw rotational playing time and made impacts on special teams.
LSU vs. Mississippi State is set for this Saturday at 11 AM in Tiger Stadium.
