Angel Reese is off to the WNBA Finals. The former LSU women's basketball star helped the Atlanta Dream sweep the New York Liberty in three games in the semifinals, capping the effort with an 85-83 win on Friday at Barclays Center.
The Dream are 5-0 in the playoffs, winning the first two games of a three-game set against the Washington Mystics in the first round, then sweeping the Liberty in a best-of-five series. Reese and her teammates will battle the Golden State Valkyries, who, like the Dream, are in search of their first WNBA championship.
The Chicago Sky dealt Reese to the Dream ahead of the 2026 season after drafting her in 2024. She missed the playoffs both seasons there but cemented herself as one of the league's best young players. The six-foot-four
forward helped her team finish first in the Eastern Conference en route to making her first postseason.
