LSU football got more injury news on Sunday. Head coach Lane Kiffin revealed Charles Ross suffered a season-ending ACL injury during the Texas A&M game on Saturday.
The sophomore linebacker contributes on defense and special teams. Ross made a career-best two tackles in the season opener against Clemson, one of which was a tackle for loss. Ross had played 25 defensive snaps this year, prior to his injury.
Ross may have been in line for an additional workload had he stayed healthy. Fellow linebacker Whit Weeks also went down with an injury against the Aggies. He left with a walking boot on his right foot and crutches. Dashawn Spears, who plays the STAR position in defensive coordinator Blake Baker's system, is out for the season as well.

The Tigers' depth will be tested over the next few weeks. They hope to get Weeks back at some point but they'll need to call on TJ Dottery for additional reps in addition to Ty Benefield and Tamarcus Cooley, who have bumped down into the STAR. Jhase Thomas sees increased reps at safety as a result of the secondary shifts.
