Former LSU football QB Joe Burrow suffered his first loss of the 2026 NFL season as the Cincinnati Bengals fell 30-27 to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. He fumbled the ball in the final minute of play, which spoiled the Bengals' chances at the first 3-0 start since 2015.
Burrow got into a slugfest with Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers' offense. He threw for three touchdowns, the first of which was a three-yard pass to fellow former Tiger Ja'Marr Chase in the first quarter to cap an 11-play, 73-yard drive that took over seven minutes. Burrow delivered a 28-yard strike to Tee Higgins to tie the game going into halftime.
The Bengals found the end zone for the final time to open the fourth quarter when Burrow and tight end Mike Gesicki for a 25-yard
touchdown. Burrow ended the game with 28 passes for 282 yards, his highest total of the season. He took just one sack against a stout Steelers defense.

Through three games, Burrow has 461 passing yards and six touchdowns. He completed 68.2% of his passes. He led the Bengals to victories over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Houston Texans to open the 2026 season.
