Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow fell to No. 44 in the NFL's top 100 players of 2026. The former LSU football passer is down from No. 38 ahead of last season. He missed most of 2025 due to a turf toe injury sustained in Week 2, but he returned in Week 13. Here is what the NFL said about Burrow.
"As long as Burrow’s on the field, the Bengals have a chance to pull out a win. That’s what the statistics lean to, anyhow. Cincinnati was 5-3 last season with Burrow starting games -- and 6-11 overall-- missing the playoffs for the third year in a row. Despite missing more than half the season, Burrow still resides in the top 50, showcasing just how highly respected he is among his NFL brethren."
Since the Bengals drafted him with the No. 1 overall
pick in 2020, Burrow has completed three seasons with over 4,000 passing yards. He took the Bengals to the Super Bowl in 2021 and earned three Pro Bowl distinctions. He will look to get the Bengals back to the playoffs for the first time in three years.

Over six seasons of professional football, Burrow has 20,810 passing yards, a 68.5% completion percentage and 157 touchdowns. The entire top 100 has yet to be released but Burrow currently ranks behind fellow quarterbacks Dan Prescott (No. 31), Jared Goff (No. 33) and Justin Herbert (No. 39).
