The LSU Tigers crushed the Texas A&M Aggies 35-6 on Saturday, but they received some unfortunate news after the game. Linebacker Whit Weeks fractured his right leg during the game, according to On3's Pete Nakos and Wilson Alexander.
Weeks left the game in the third quarter and was seen on the broadcast wearing a boot and using crutches to get to the locker room. According to the report, there is "no timetable" for his return. He was limited to just eight games last season after suffering an ankle injury.
He was named to the Preseason Coaches All-SEC Team before the 2026 season and has backed up the honor, recording 23 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, three quarterback hurries, and a pass breakup. He and TJ Dottery gave LSU one of the best linebacker
combos in the country.
Weeks has played in 36 games with 26 starts during his four-year career with the Tigers and was a leader of the defense. He has made 228 tackles, 19.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, and one interception during his career.
He is the third starter they have lost over the past two weeks. Star tight end Trey'Dez Green is set to miss several games, and safety Dashawn Spears suffered a season-ending injury against the Ole Miss Rebels.
