LSU women's basketball tips off its 2026-27 schedule on Monday night as the Tigers welcome SE Louisiana to Baton Rouge. LSU should handle the Lions with ease, and it will be a few weeks before the Tigers are tested.
However, LSU's nonconference slate is far from easy. When the schedule heats up, LSU will face a handful of opponents that are NCAA Tournament contenders.
In total, LSU will face nine ranked opponents. As the season begins and teams rise and fall, that number could change, but as it stands, LSU has nine games vs. top-25 teams.
LSU's first ranked opponent will be No. 25 NC State on Sat., Nov. 28. The big one on LSU's nonconference schedule is a date with UConn on Sun., Dec. 20. That game will be in Nashville.
In conference play, LSU's
first ranked opponent is No. 8 Vanderbilt on Sun., Jan. 3. LSU will get the support of its home court for that one. LSU's date with South Carolina will be in Columbia in February.
