LSU football wide receiver Jackson Harris provided good news on Tuesday. After leaving the Mississippi State game with an ankle injury, Harris said he was good to go for LSU's contest at Auburn this weekend. Harris spoke with the media after practice on Tuesday and said if the Mississippi State game was closer, he could have returned to the game.
"I feel like if the game went differently, I could have went back out there and played, so we'll be all good for this week," Harris said.
That's good news for an LSU offense that can't afford to lose another pass catcher to injury. Star LSU tight end Trey'Dez Green left LSU's Week 3 loss to Ole Miss and remains out. Green isn't expected to return until November.
Harris has stepped up in Green's absence,
becoming Sam Leavitt's go-to target, along with slot wide receiver Winston Watkins. Harris had a career day vs. Mississippi State, catching three touchdowns.

With 456 yards, Harris ranks 8th among SEC wideouts. He's right in front of Watkins, who sits 9th with 447 yards.
