Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Jorden Edmonds is reportedly set to miss time due to an injury, per Bama247's Brett Greenberg and Alex Scarborough.
According to Greenberg, Edmonds suffered the injury during practice earlier this week, and is expected to miss at least a few weeks.
A true freshman, Edmonds was one of the highest-rated recruits in Alabama's 2026 class who ranked as the No. 29 overall player in the nation, per the 247Sports composite. Edmonds, a five-star recruit, was also considered one of the nation's top cornerbacks out of Sprayberry High School in Georgia.
When looking at the Crimson Tide's projected depth chart, Alabama returns both starting cornerbacks from a year ago in Zabien Brown and Dijon Lee Jr.. Edmonds is expected to
begin the season in a depth role behind those two on the depth chart, doing so alongside Carmelo O'Neal, Chuck McDonald III, and fellow true freshman Zyan Gibson.
Alabama is set to open the 2026 season at home against East Carolina in Week 1. The Crimson Tide will then travel to Kentucky during Week 2, following by home games against Florida State and South Carolina in Weeks 3 and 4, respectively.
