This past Friday, Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback commit Trent Seaborn officially made history at the high school level.
Continuing his stellar start to the 2026 season, Seaborn had yet another big showing for Alabama's Thompson High School, helping lead the Warriors to a shutout 49-0 win over Vestavia Hills. The Alabama commit was nearly perfect in the victory as well, completing 18-of-21 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns.
The stat line was not the biggest storyline for Seaborn though, as the Alabama commit officially broke the record to become the state's new all-time leading in passing yards. That record of 11,024 yards was previously held by former Piedmont High School quarterback Jack Hayes, with Seaborn now sitting at 11,031 following
Friday night's game.
Over three games so far this season, Seaborn has led Thompson to an undefeated 3-0 record, completing 79.5% of passes for 891 yards and an 11:0 TD:INT ratio.
Committed to Alabama since October 2025, Seaborn currently ranks as the nation's No. 295 overall prospect in the 2025 class, per the 247Sports composite rankings. A four-star recruit, Seaborn is also ranked the nation's No. 23 overall quarterback.
